Newberry is a quaint and historic town in the midlands of South Carolina. Visitors will enjoy walking the attractive downtown area with its shops and restaurants housed in historic buildings. Many will spend hours browsing for antiques and collectibles in the local shops. Here are some of Newberrys favorite destinations for antique shopping.

EuroLux Antiques offers a fine selection of European antiques and collectibles. Located at 1409 Main Street, the shop is easy to spot. Just look for the European flags flying above its entrance. The shop specializes in furniture and accessories. There are mantle and tall case clocks, chandeliers and lighting, china, and glassware. Collectors of blue Delft and Majolica will find plenty of items to interest them. The shop also carries some antique religious jewelry and other vintage religious statuary and prints.

Prissys Newberry Antiques is located at 1014 Main Street. The shop carries furniture, china, glassware, and other vintage items as well as new accessories for the home. In addition, the owners have a design business called Hamilton & Company Interiors.

A number of other smaller antique shops are located in downtown Newberry. Most are concentrated along Main Street. Treasures on Main is located at 1207 Main Street and the Palmetto House Antique Mall is just down the block at 1213 Main. As Time Goes By can be found across the street at 1300 Main Street, and Sargent Antiques is located a few blocks away at 2026 Main Street. Shoppers may also want to spend time in some of Newberrys other downtown stores, including specialty apparel shops, gift shops, jewelry stores, and bookstores.

When shoppers have finished browsing, they may want to leave time for a visit to the Crme de la Crme Salon and Day Spa. Then they may want to enjoy dinner at one of Newberrys fine restaurants. Delamaters on Boyce Street and Steven Ws Downtown Bistro on Main Street offer fine dining. For a more casual dining option, visitors may want to try the Grill on Main for lunch or dinner. The restaurant specializes in burgers, catfish, and steaks in a relaxed atmosphere. All of these restaurants are located in the downtown area within easy walking distance from the shops. While in town visitors may want to take in a show at Newberrys historic Opera House. A variety of concerts and other entertainment are scheduled throughout the year.
